Oh and the very worst that could just possibly happen?

Is it nearly Bunga Bunga time for Bárðarbunga?

Some professional volcano watchers are getting very interested. Seems they’d like it to erupt quite soon rather than build pressure for weeks or months.

More to follow as events develop.

  1. Thanks, Brian.

Have to go out now, but to get the background to my work, google the following:

USS Jimmy Carter, advance weapons platform, Indian Ocean tsunamis, CNO Vern Clark,
    Trowbridge H. Ford

    Will add more tomorrow.

  2. I always use open sources, and it just amazing how much one can find if one looks hard enough.

It’s just not good enough to rely only on indexes or search engines. They just have the big bits, not the small but important details.

For example, in researching the 2004 earthquakes and tsunamis, I found information about it in The Hartford Courant most informative about the special mission that CNO Vern Clark went out of his way to send off from New London before it had even had its breaking down voyage, and commissioning, though I never found them in any other publication.

Then the Navy itself provided all kinds of info about putting together a sub and crew that could do it, and then all kinds of efforts to defuse its alarming blowback.

A similar condition existed when the USS Carter caused the Tohoku earthquakes, though the most revealing info came from reports about the flight the Boeing X-37B made for the Air Force in directing them, though it took an even longer time for it to be recklessly crowing about it.

This is a much safer way to engage in such research. If I had ever used insider (official) information, the leakers would have been in a heap of trouble, and I would have quickly been eliminated.

Even so, the US government has gone to great lengths to find out if I have been doing so, or are working for a foreign one as a spy. It even tried to fix me up as an Islamic terrorist by attempting to connect me to ‘Jihad Jane’ aka Colleen LaRose and Gwrhyr.

If you have any specific questions about what I am claiming, please feel free to ask.

  3. The US exercises wrt China seem designed to incite. It reminds me somewhat of KAL007, but deliberately causing EQ’s seems a fools errand. Unintended consequences are part and parcel of war, but something this stupid is the act of madmen, who just want to blow up the World. Anarchists gone wild. Is Bárðarbunga being diddled Trowbridge? I just can’t imagine the end-game, unless facilitating thinning the herd is in play.

BTW; Why do you seldom link to your articles?

  4. Would be willing to link my articles if the trolls on Craig Murray’s blog did not volunteer that I am a fraud, bipolar, a liar, a troublemaker, etc., including your self, instead of discussing what is on offer.

  5. “including your self”

Your memory seems selective. I never said anything of the kind, just that you were difficult to converse with. I think you said something about my being a moron.

But back to my question; what could be the motivation for setting the atmosphere ablaze? Thinning the over-populated terra as an ancillary benefit of diddling with power structures?

  6. To make conditions in Scotland, like what happened after the Laki earthquake in Iceland in 1783, so bad that its livelihood becomes precarious – what would undoubtedly help the No vote tremendously.

Both the USS Jimmy Carter and the USS Connecticut are available for joint exercises in the Arctic which caused the Aceh disaster in 2004, and the Tohoku one in 2011.

  7. ZBC are downplaying it again.

Iceland on Sunday issued an aviation alert after a fresh lava eruption from a fissure near the Bardarbunga volcano, but the warning was later lowered.

Iceland’s Met Office said there had been “a very calm lava eruption… hardly seen on seismometers”.

  8. Only the most naive believe that keeping the UK together is an American political preference rather than a strategic necessity – what it will do anything now, especially now with Russia causing trouble in Europe, to maintain.

And don’t rely on any assumption that it won’t do to the rebellious Scots, what it has done to Muslims and Asians.

It is quite prepared to do to Edinburgh what is did to Japan’s New Democracy when it attempted to push American forces back to Guam, and rip up its constitution which made the country an American toadie.

Japan was so injured by the Tohoku earthquake/tsunami and the Fukushima disaster that the government now is urging its citizens to stock up on toilet paper in case another disaster hits.

Could well be Scotland’s fate if the Yes vote looks like winning in the September 18 referendum.

  9. Trowbrige –

  10. Link won’t open, and you seem completely turned off about what America’s covert government is doing underwater, and in the atmosphere with various lasers and space heaters.

  11. Don’t forger that right after the Boeing X-37B was launched, its radar determined on March 8, 2011 that the epicenter of the subsequent earthquake had disappeared, only to have the incredibly powerful quake occur two days later.

It apparently only required short work from the USS Jimmy Carter’s lasers.

  12. The Boeing X-37B program has more capabilities than what the Shuttles could do without its complexity, notoriety, and costs, especially human life as the Challenger and Columbia tragedies demonstrated.

The Boeings are essentially reusable satellites with intelligence and radar capabilities which can carry out long missions, and can be souped up to weapons ones if desired.

They can search for spots to attack, as in the Tohoku case, keep track of how it is going, and have other systems, like the USS Jimmy Carter’s advanced weapons platform, complete the mission.

In the Eastern Yunnan earthquake recently, the Boeing did all the essential work – i. e., finding all the entrances of all the underground targets to hit, probing their dimensions with its radar, and then firing some kind of laser into it, causing it to collapse. HAARP’s ionospheric heater might also have beeb employed, causing all the rainfall which made the attacks more deadly, and the recovery more difficulty.

And it was all carried out without anyone, especially the global media, unlike in the Shuttle disasters, having a clue about what was going on.

  13. Earthquakes are getting stronger around Bardarbunga, lava eruptions are spurting higher, and the affected area continues to get bigger.

Just imagine what will happen, especially in Scotland, if in the next week or so it was hit by anything like the 9.0 Tohoku earthquake.

  14. Now volcanic eruption of cloud ash is almost certain around Bardarbunga, though it is still only expected to affect local conditions.

    Continuing expansion could peak shortly.

    “Gravely concerned” about Bardarbunga

“But the third scenario is that the subsidence in the floor of the caldera causes an eruption within Bardarbunga. Such an eruption could melt a large volume of glacial ice, and could end up as a powerful explosive eruption, with ashfall,” says Dr. Gudmundsson. “The meltwater would perhaps not be released immediately, due to the contour of the caldera, but eventually it would come out as a powerful flood. Obviously, we are worried about this possibility.”

This scenario is regarded as very serious, not least because of the potential for a flood, which could cause extensive damage, says the director of the Civil Protection Agency in Iceland, Vidir Reynisson. “We are gravely concerned about this scenario. If we study the history of the Bardarbunga volcano, we see large and powerful eruptions in or near the caldera; we are bound to take this very seriously, especially after the subsidence was observed.”

  16. http://www.ruv.is/frett/norwegians-smell-sulfur-from-holuhraun

    Norwegians smell sulfur from Holuhraun

Smell of sulfur gas thought to be from the Holuhraun eruption, has been detected at the west coast of Norway, some 1300 kilometres away (807 miles) according to Norsk Radio, the public broadcaster in Norway. Sattellite photos have shown migration of gasses in that direction.

Repeated evacuations due to gas levels

Scientists working at the Holuhraun eruption side have repeatedly had to leave the area, as concentrations of gas have reached dangerous levels. Sudden changes in wind directions have made research there very hazardous. Sulfur dioxide gas has been detected in urban areas in East Iceland.

  17. Ben,

It could go tonight; next week; Christmas – or ten years from now if at all. I don’t think anyone really knows. I certainly don’t from public info.

What to expect from Bárðarbunga volcano

    The collapse of Bárðarbunga volcano

The collapse of Bárðarbunga volcano has already started. The caldera collapse in Bárðarbunga volcano started on 16-August-2014 and has been going on since then. Here is what I am expecting from the caldera collapse once it reaches its peak.

There are going to be earthquakes in the range of 5,5 and up to 6,7. Maybe larger if the crust can handle it.

Glacier flood are going to go south-west and north (Húsavík area) and possibly in other directions. I am expecting damage to hydrothermal plants in the pathway of the floods. How much damage there is going to be depends on the magnitude of the flood and the path it takes.

I am expecting long periods of no power in parts of Iceland once the flood has passed. I am also expecting lack of communications in large areas of Iceland. This is why Rúv has been telling people to get long-wave radios for the past few days. Usage of mobile network is also going to be unreliable in large parts of Iceland once the collapse starts full force in Bárðarbunga volcano. Due to damage that glacier floods are going to create.

I am expecting an ash cloud that might go up to 20 km or higher up in the atmosphere. It is however impossible to know for sure what happens until this starts.

  19. Looks like GCHQ has taken out Craig’s weblog. Evidently disruption wasn’t working so the anti-disintegration task force had to move to denial.

I’ve got a few ideas of what the problem was. Could/will happen again though if I’m right but could be easily prevented with some server config changes.

  21. Magical Video .Squonk, Thank you, and as Mary says..such Beautiful perfect Music.

Check some lovely fotos of the ice cave under Mutnovskiy volcano Russia.

bit of action in the Hawaiian island too..

” Well, Pele’s got her eyes on the community of Pahoa. Some officials are saying the impact is inevitable.

    Kīlauea’s current eruption dates back to January 3, 1983, and is by far its longest-lived historical period of activity, as well as one of the longest-lived eruptions in the world;

  22. Still seems to me that there is going to be a major disaster here soon – what US underwater lasers could have already caused if the outcome of the referendum had remained uncertain, thanks to GCHQ’s meta data mining of voter intentions proving unnecessary.

  23. And now the experts and media claim that they are not sure what the Boeing X-37B is doing, assuming that it is a replacement for NSAS’s Space Shuttles which can also gather signal intelligence in places like Iran and North Korea.

All the Pentagon will say about them is that they are carrying out technical experiments, like HAARP’s ionospheris heater in Alaska.

THe Boeing X-37B can act like a space satellite, and can determine through new radar the depths of various earth surfaces, and where the junctures of the earth’s plates are most vulnerable to laser disruptions, like what it helped do with US Navy special attack submarines with the Tohoku earthquakes off Japan in 2011, and in the build up of Bardarbunga in anticipation of its eruption being necessary to determine the NO vote in the independence referendum – what GCHQ meta-data mining apparently proved unnecessary.

Space and underwater weapons, not nuclear ones, are what we have to worry about now.

  24. Worldwide update.

There was some rumblings about an earthquake swarm near Mammoth Mountain on the edges of the Long Valley caldera in California. Swarms like this are not uncommon at Mammoth and this one seems to be tied to water (hydrothermal) and tectonic stresses rather than anything magmatic or volcanic. If you enjoy reading inane coverage of such events, MTV News may have set a new standard for vapid coverage of something like this Long Valley swarm (Kurt Loder sheds a tear somewhere).

I don’t understand the geology but drought makes strata bulge increasing EQ activity.

Tourists are continuing to trying to kill them self by getting close to the eruption site. The newest case involves a millionaire (or billionaire?) from Kazakhstan that landed close the lava field. They where lucky that wind did not change direction while they where there. The amount of SO2 close to the eruption has been recorded going up to 130.000 μg/m³. That is good enough to kill instantly and melt people lungs (read up on that can be found here). News item on this stunt can be found here.

Kazakh millionaire Goga Ashkenazi jumps for joy in restricted area close to Holuhraun

Kazakh millionaire Goga Ashkenazi has published a video on her Instagram account showing her and her friends jumping in front of the approaching Holuhraun lava. According to news site ruv.is Ashkenazi and her entourage were inside the restricted area without permission from local authorities.
Last weekend witnesses saw a helicopter landing within the restricted Holuhraun area. It is not known whether it was carrying the Ashkenazi group.
Goga Ashkenazi was born 1980 in Kazakhstan and is a well known London socialite, counting Prince Andrew as one of her friends. Her former father-in-law is Kazakhstan’s president Nursultan Nazarbayev. Her wealth is based on Kazakhstan’s oil and gas industries. In 2012 she bought the 100 year old French fashion house Vionnet. She lives in Milan, Italy.
UPDATE: ruv.is reports that the local police commissioner, in Húsavík town in North Iceland, has confirmed that the incident is being investigated.

  26. And it seems rather reckless to claim that its eruptions are not yet as bad as most damaging ones in the past when it looks like its center is ultimately going to collapse and erupt, killing all the tourists in sight.

    [Squonk: Moved from General Thread]

  27. Thanks Squonk, especially because what I predicted is now happening with a new eruption occurring miles across the caldera.

Experts now saying that a large eruption at the volcano’s top, consuming its glacier, seems imminent.

Looks like one of those special US attack submarines still overcooked it despite the predicted No vote in the referendum.

  28. Clark, you might want to consider why and how the whole concern about volcanic eruptions on Iceland petered out after the September 19th No vote on Scottish independence.

While it was about to blow sky high, MI5 determined that the referendum was going to fail, and that special attack sub, either the Jimmy Carter or the Connecticut heating things up, moved off, and everything has now gone conveniently quiet in Iceland.

  29. And don’t forget now. that the US Navy was in the process of making a Tohoku-Fukushima style earthquake in Iceland for the CIA to make sure that Scotland didn’t vote Yes in the independence referendum which GCHQ/MI5 monitoring of Scottish opinion proved unnecessary.
